I have always loved the geometric form of Chrysanthenum Flowers. They have a gorgeous phyllotaxis spiral, the visible vibrational form of love. I captured a ghost essence of the patterning in acrylic and metal, but the petals themselves called to become part of the work... smooshed from printing, they were nevertheless beautiful and delicate. I decided to dry them , bent and battered (like many of us) before gilding with just enough gold leaf to say "I'm perfect as I fall"
